When two individuals merge and live as one, conflict will arise. There’s no perfect couple. But every couple should practice having a healthy relationship with Christ as their foundation. Even after couples have been together for a while, conflict will happen. The key to healthy longevity is being committed to loving our spouse/significant other during each phase and season of life. We compare our union to the picture-perfect couple within our friend circle or families and we do not know what goes on within their household. I help couples to form healthy communication habits that strengthen the relationship and provides greater intimacy (connection). Not all conflict is bad. Conflict can be the path to a deeper connection if communication happens without squashing your partner or allowing yourself to be squashed in the process. I specialize in couples/marriage counseling, pre-marital counseling, divorce and co-parenting counseling.
I am a Certified Prepare Enrich Facilitator and I have been helping couples for years. Prepare Enrich provides evidence-based assessments for pre-marital and existing married couples. While keeping couples united is primarily my goal, I realize there are some situations where that is not the healthy option. In these situations, I help couples to realize that parting in love is the only healthy option. Especially when kids are involved. Divorce does not have to end in family destruction. In order to raise healthy and whole kids while co-parenting, parents have to be open to healing and moving forward within a genuinely cohesive and loving family dynamic. If your ex-partner succeeds and is able to operate in a healthy way, it benefits the family dynamic as a whole.
The initial session for couples is $160 and 75 minutes in length. Subsequent sessions are $150 and 60 minutes in length.
